What is the value of an Barbara Stanwick autograph?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Barbara Stanwyck lived a long life and was very good to her fans, signing generously, so she is not particularly rare. Over here in the UK she fetches between £50 and £100 for nice vintage sepia photographs, 5" x 7" or larger. You can find late-signed reproductions of earlier images for less.

How much is Joan Crawford's autograph?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Joan Crawford was very good to her fans and spent hours every day responding personally to fan mail. This means that there are lots of typed and signed letters floating around, often signed simply "Joan" (which reduces their value). Over here in the UK you can find nice examples on offer for as little as £25. Vintage sepia photographs, fully signed and from her cinema heyday, are the most desirable Crawford collectibles, and really peachy 8" x 10" signed photographs might fetch £200 or more.

Who owns the Superman suit worn by Christopher Reeve in Superman the movie?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

From what I can find online, Stephen Lane's Prop Store of London owns one of Reeve's tunics which is displayed in the London Film Museum.

Pawn Stars did a segment featuring a man named Nader selling a 'Christopher Reeve's suit' which he claimed was "the only one", The expert Pawn Stars brought in said of course there was more than one but he believed it was authentic. Nader did not accept the offer so presumably he still owns it.

Your best chance of finding such a mug would be to wait for someone to put one up for sale on ebay. Conan's mug is part of a series of mugs in the likenesses of several World War 2 allied generals made in 1950. After fifty-nine years I doubt you can easily find one in any store.

Where can you go to see the ruby slippers Dorothy wore in the movie The Wizard of Oz?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It's possible that at least seven pairs of the Ruby Slippers were made, for the movie. Four are accounted for. One is on permanent exhibition at the National Museum of American History in D.C. The other three are owned by private collectors Philip Samuels and David Elkouby. In addition, two other pairs of Ruby Slippers were made for, but never used in, the film. One is a curled toe pair owned by actress Mary Frances ka Debbie Reynolds [b. April 1, 1932]. The other is a curled toe pair owned by Richard Thorpe [February 24, 1896-May 1, 1991]. And as part of the commemoration of the film's 50th anniversary, the Western Costume Company was granted sole authorization to make Ruby Slipper reproductions. The commemorative slippers were very very close to being identical to the original slippers of 1939.

What is the weight of the original tin mans costume from the wizard of oz?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

According to TNT the costume weighed in at a whopping 90 pounds. This answer was given in a trivia break during TNT's presentation of the Wizard of Oz.

It was made from two real lionskins. Bert Lahr [August 13, 1895-December 4, 1967], who played the Cowardly Lion, described the costume as hot and uncomfortably like "working inside a mattress." So whenever Lahr was in a scene, he had to have the lights off, and the soundstage doors opened every 30 minutes, for fresh air. Otherwise, he would have suffocated.

Which is the most expensive Star Wars figure?

User Avatar

Asked by ivan

Well in from what I've seen the early bird collection including a double telescoping Luke skywalker, R2 D2, princess Leia, and chewbacca those are ONE of the rarest figures. Also the double telescoping Darth Vader, and obi wan, were the rarest but among the rarest figures to ever come by are rocket firing boba fett and vlix. Rocket firing boba fett was a figure released in 1977 it was a mail away but because rumor a kid choked the immediately stopped making the figure and form what I,ve read is there were only 100 of these figures. As for vlix made by a company called glasslite that story, I do not know.

Where can you sell your Doctor Who stuff?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

eBay is usually a good bet, although you'll need to be familiar with how the system works and be able to upload photographs of the items onto the site.

Failing that, you can Google 'Dr.Who Conventions' and enquire of the organisers of the next one whether fans will be allowed to have stalls there at which to sell their unwanted memorabilia.
