Can only black people have black hair?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Black people can have red hair, it is just an extremely rare thing. Also, if the mother and father both have a recessive trait for red hair then there is a 1/4 chance that the baby will have natural red hair. It is all in the genes and where you pull from down the line.

What do dreadlocks symbolize?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Symbolism is literary

There doesn't have to be nor is there symbolism for everything, though some hairstyles do send messages, but they are more obvious than symbolism.

"Dread"locks can symbolize many things. Dreadlocks' origin lies with Rastafarians. THey often just allowed their hair to grow without combing or brushing over a long period of time, and the hair "locked" upon itself and remained in whatever shape it grows from the scalp in. Many people have looked at them and called them dreadful because they were not uniformed like loose braids, and looked dirty. But there are many ways to lock hair that are much more hygenically pleasing and easier to care for than that.

For some, locking hair may be a symbol of strength or identifying with culture. It may be a statement for someone, like shaving the head bald. Locks can be a sign of confidence and a sign of covering. Some people wear them for a trend or because they have reached a certain age. Some wear locks because they are low maintenance and grow rapidly. There is no one right way to wear them, and no one right reason.

they do not originate with rastafarianism, with respect rastas have furthured dread culture but they originated thousands of years before jah

dreads originated with mans origons

so at the basic core dreads symbolize a natural mystic a person who embraces the natural state of being

What does hair conditoner do for your hair?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Conditioning your hair after you wash it helps to keep your strands healthy. It helps to tame it and make it more manageable. It adds to the natural moisture and gives shine, spring and intensity. Not conditioning your hair after washing is like not adding fabric softener to the wash. No matter what your hair texture is or whether your hair is healthy or not, you need to condition.

Afros can be any size so long as they are the proper texture and are properly managed. You do not need floor length hair to have an afro; it can be low to your head, but not too low lest you simply have a fade.

Interlocking is a great method for locking hair. Sisterlocs trademark locs and other thin locs often use this method because it makes the locs stronger. You do not need much product and interlocking works on most hair textures.
