What is acceptable TDS in drinking water?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In drinking water, a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) level below 500 parts per million (ppm) is generally considered acceptable for taste and safety. Lower TDS often indicates cleaner, purer water. However, TDS alone doesn't provide a complete picture of water quality; other factors like specific contaminants should also be considered. Always check local water quality guidelines for specific recommendations in your area.

It seems like your question is referencing something specific, but without additional context, I'm not sure what you're referring to. "Winnie" could be a character from a story, movie, or real life, and "drink the water" might be a phrase related to a specific event or situation.

Why does your cat cry after drinking water?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Cats dont usually gag after drinking water. If your cat does then i strongly recommend visiting the vet, as it may have something stuck in its thoat that gets disturbed when drinking water. You can wait for a few days and if the cat continues to gag then take it to the vet. Though i doubt it there also could be a problem with the water.

Are cats healthier when the drink water or milk?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It depends: if you have a female dog that has puppies the puppies will drink the breast milk from the mother but the mother still drinks water. if you have a puppy and not its mother either call the vet and buy special milk or just give it water.

For cats, I would make sure toilets that are not being used should be flushed at all times. for both kittens with or without their mother give them warm milk. Weaned kittens and adult cats should be given water, or formulated kitten milk. Cats of all ages should not drink cow's milk as it can make them sick.

Which animal dies after drinking water?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

All animal life can die as a result of drinking water. It is a question of consuming too much, and what the lethal level is for specific forms of animal life and individuals.

Consumption of too much water is more commonly known as water intoxication. Water intoxication is also known as over-hydration, hyper-hydration, or (inaccurately) water poisoning.

Over-consumption of water can cause a disruption in neuro-function that is the result of imbalance of electrolytes in the body and can be fatal.

Why does your dog gag after drinking a lot of water?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

This could be anything from your dog bolting his food too fast to an infection to organ failure. I would suggest taking your dog to your veterinarian for an examination; if you can take a picture of what your dog is vomiting up and bring in the dog's water dish along with how often you have to refill it, that would help the veterinarian sort out the problem.

Why did my dog stop eating she is still drinking water?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I don't want to alarm you, but my dog just died of cancer. The vet told me when she got less interested in food, or not eating at all, it was time for me to euthanize her. You should get your pet to a vet ASAP and have blood work done. If it's nothing serious, you may ask the vet for some low-dose Prednisone, which will increase the appetite. Of course, another thing to consider is your dog may have severe constipation. Good luck!

How many days you will die without drinking water?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

If you drink A LOT of water you can survive for around 30 days on average. But it really depends on factors such as your weight, the amount of fat you have (more fat = longer you survive), your health and so on.

For example, an anorexic person consuming only water would probably only manage a week or two before collapsing and ending up in hospital.

How much water do you drink to get heroin out of your system?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Heroin will usually stay in your system for 2-5 days. Drink several glasses of water so you urinate as much as possible before your drug test. But, be warned that drinking enough water to flush your system will result in clear urine which will be considered too diluted and you will fail your drug test. After you've drank enough water, and your urine is clear, drink enough soda to make you urinate a couple more times to make your urine a yellowish color.
