How long ago did man first develop on earth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Scientists say that the first hominids evolved around seven million years ago, although we would probably not yet recongise these early ancestors as humans. A later ancestor, Homo habilis, evolved around 2 million years ago. We could begin to see ourselves in Homo habilis, although this species was still a long way from present man. Homo erectus evolved around 1.6 million years ago. Modern humans, Homo sapiens, are believed to have developed more than two hundred thousand years ago. At this early stage, humans had developed only a primitive lifestyle and culture, but anatomically and mentally they were little different to people on the street today.

Answer 2.

1. Judaeo-Christian Bible Prototype:

Man as Adam was placed in Eden on the third day - being explicated as the age before the forming of the cosmos on the fourth day - the following age.

Since Eden and Adam were formed before the physical world came into existence, they are of an empyreal nature.

The (NASA) estimated age of the cosmos is 13.77 billion years, and so Spiritual Adam or Man developed within empyreal Eden being on empyreal earth, over 13.77 billion years ago.

2. Cosmogony Prototype:

Man - predicated as an enlightened creature of the cosmos - was able to exist or develop on a cosmic earth or planet, from when the first stars and primordial galaxies were formed. Recent estimations have these as being formed between 300 million to 500 million years in the age of the cosmos, from when matter came into existence.

3. Our Planet Prototype:

Man, as an enlightened creature of this planet named Earth - first developed when the 'Man' genome was triggered, through epigenetic factors.

The threshold between dull beast and enlightened Man {written within wisdom scriptures of Prototype 1.are texts where one has the explication that at the time of conception, the soul of Man enters into the genome, and so Man is never beast, or bird, etc} would then be when genetic studies determine that Man was only breeding among their own evolved kind.

Studies showing that avenue of time are answered in an arbitrary manner, by the historical observation of manlike behavior constituting Man, among our early ancestors, those as given,(in the first answer).

Were Adam and Eve Cro-magnon?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that Adam and Eve were Cro-magnon. The story of Adam and Eve is a religious myth within the context of the Abrahamic religions, while Cro-magnon refers to a specific population of early modern humans in Europe. These two concepts come from different realms of understanding.

Were the Homo erectus the first people on earth?

If the world started with Adam and Eve what does that make us all?

User Avatar

If the world started with Adam and Eve, then according to Christian belief, they are considered the first humans and thus are the ancestors of all humanity. This view is central to the creation story in the Bible, which states that all humans are descended from Adam and Eve.

Since Adam and Eve both were white people then how would blacks hispanics asians and indians have come to be?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The concept of Adam and Eve as the first humans is a religious belief and not a scientific fact. Human genetic diversity comes from a long history of migration, intermixing, and adaptation to different environments over thousands of years. Skin color variation is a result of genetic adaptation to different climates and UV exposure.

If Adam and Eve were the first humans on earth after being booted from the Garden of Eden were they the first aliens to come to earth and as a result aren't all human beings descendants of aliens?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The story of Adam and Eve in the Bible is a religious story, not a literal account of human history or the origin of life on Earth. From a scientific perspective, human evolution occurred over millions of years through natural processes without extraterrestrial intervention. So, humans are not descendants of aliens in the literal sense.

Were Africans the first people on earth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Answer

Yes, there is considerable scientific evidence to support this assertion. The oldest human fossils come from Africa, and it is unlikely that even older fossils will be found elsewhere. Supporting this is new DNA evidence, that indicates that the distant ancestors of all people alive today must have come from Africa.

If Jericho was inhabited 9000 years ago by people long before Adam Eve who were the first people?

User Avatar

The first people in Jericho would likely have been early hunter-gatherer societies who inhabited the region around 11,000 years ago. These groups would have gradually settled in the area as part of the transition from hunting and gathering to agriculture. The story of Adam and Eve is a religious narrative in the Bible and not a historical account.

Where were the first people on earth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

about 6000 years ago... Adam and eve, genesis ch 1 & 2 - first people, but not the first born. God created Adam and Eve, so if you are looking for the first born, that would be their children. (i.e. Cain, abel, etc.)

gen 2:7 "and God formed man of the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul"

Because God touched man and everything God touches is eternal, hence, "man became a living soul" not just a body... therefore, as Gods Word reveals all throughout scripture, mans soul will spend eternity in either Heaven with God (God's desire) or in Hell without God.

John 14:6 "Jesus sayeth unto them, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me."

There is only one way to heaven, and that's by accepting Jesus Christ as your own personal savior. Accept the fact that you are a sinner, (Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God"; Rom 3:10, As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one"),

understand that there is a penalty for your sin, Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord",

realize that God paid it for you already, John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, (10) for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Accept the gift for yourself - Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"

Luke 13:3, Jesus said, I tell you nay, except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish

What is the first evidence that man existed on earth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The earliest evidence of human existence on Earth comes from fossils dated to around 2.8 million years ago, such as those of Australopithecus species found in Africa. These early hominins were bipedal and had small brains, setting them apart from other primates and indicating the emergence of the human lineage.

How did the human race begin?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The human race is believed to have originated in Africa, evolving over millions of years from earlier hominid species. The earliest anatomically modern humans emerged around 300,000 years ago, and eventually migrated out of Africa to colonize the rest of the world. Genetic and fossil evidence support the theory of human evolution through natural selection and adaptation to changing environments.

Where do black people come from if Adam and Eve were white?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

First of all, Adam and Eve came from the Bible. Before the Bible was written (which dates back to events of not much more than 2000 years ago) people were drawing pictures on caves of up to 30 000 years ago, creating stone tools, etc. The Homo genus evolved over 500 000 years ago, from a common ancestor to the ape and this was discovered because anthropologists dug up fossils that demonstrate this fact. This means that through verifyable dating analysis, this fossil was sitting there for 500 000 years. God did not put that fossil there. This is something that just happens, as all organic things must die.. By the way this happened in what is now called Africa. It was shortly after this that humans migrated, traveling up through europe and across ice bridges into North America. There were other hominid species like Homo neanderthalis, which coexisted with human for a while, but later became extinct. Whether there relationship was symbiotic or conflicting is another debate altogether.

AnswerGod formed Adam and Eve from the dust of the earth which is brown,if you research you will see that the garden of Eden is located in Africa. Adam and Eve were black. The different races came about after the flood when Noah's sons and their wives traveled and settled in different places with different climates. Over time people began adapting to their environments thus the change of skin color and face structure. Also, there are plenty other races in the world besides black and white. Because many whites felt superior, many artists would depict Jesus and Adam and Eve to look European. This is why many people believe they were white. Jesus was Jewish, the original Jews were olive skinned with dark curly hair, some straight. American Jews have been mixed with whites. Africans are original blacks, whereas African Americans have been mixed with other races, just like jews. Over time many races have blended together esspecially in America "the melting pot".

Who were the sons of Adam and the daughters of Eve?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The phrases the 'sons of Adam' and the 'daughters of Eve' come from 'The Chronicles of Narnia' by Clive Staples Lewis [November 29, 1898-November 22, 1963]. They're used to describe the four children who go out through the wall of their closet and ultimately into the magical land of Narnia. In Narnia, the lion Aslan refers to the male and female children respectively as Adam's sons and Eve's daughters. The reference is to their carrying the taint of Adam's and Eve's original disobedience of divine law.
