User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

To obtain approval for advertising the Chinese yuan banknote in the newspaper, you would need to reach out to the newspaper's advertising department and inquire about their specific guidelines and requirements for advertising currency. They may have restrictions or specific processes in place for such advertisements due to regulations around currency advertising. Be prepared to provide information about the content of the advertisement and comply with any necessary documentation or approvals.

Could someone tell me the worth of 5000000 apaxmai counterfeit notes 1944.?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

What makes you think the notes are counterfeit? Generally, unless there is an historic story associated with the counterfeit (like the operation Bernhardt English notes) the notes are worthless.

There was a genuine issue 5,000,000 Drachmai note issued in 1944. A mint uncirculated example would be worth $3.

Where can you cash in your special 60th anniversary Israeli 20 shekel notes for the value they are now worth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The 2008 commemorative 20 Sheqalim note is worth $25 (US Dollars) in mint uncirculated condition to a collector of banknotes, via an on-line auction, for example or possibly to a banknote dealer (search the web for ones located near you).

If the note is in anything other than perfect condition, it is worth just its face value - about $5.00, which you could get at a bank/travel agent currency exchange.

This will depend on the shape of your bill. This is a large sum of money, but Germany was going through terrible inflation so the price wouldn't be as high as you would think.

What is the best way to preserve old banknotes?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Individual notes should be stored in acid-free clear plastic wallets produced specifically for this purpose. There are a couple of manufacturers, but 'wrapper flapper' and 'SAFE' are the two most commonly used. Both are bought in packs of x10 or x25 and cost about $1 each depending on size.

Large numbers of notes can be stored in a suitable banknote album which use the same acid-free plastic as the individual wallets, but with between 1-9 notes per page. Common manufacturers include 'Lighthouse' and 'Hendon'.

How much is a 50 pence banknote worth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The larger pre-1998 50 Pence coins were withdrawn from circulation and demonetised in 1998. So, unless they are part of a Proof or uncirculated mint set or are individual Proof or uncirculated coins and in absolute mint condition, they have little or no value.

The smaller 50 Pence coins issued from 1997 to present are still potentially in circulation so, unless they are part of a Proof or uncirculated mint set or are individual Proof or uncirculated coins and in absolute mint condition, they are worth 50 Pence.

How many German marks bought one dollar in 1923?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The D-mark is now obsolete because Germany adopted the euro in 2002.

At that time the value of ordinary coins and bills (as opposed to collectibles) was roughly 1 DM = $0.50

Some larger banks in the EU are still set up to convert older currency to euros but they're becoming increasingly difficult to find. See related link

What is the value of a November 19th 1922 50000 Reichsbanknote?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Despite their age and apparent high value, most of these notes were churned out in such huge numbers as Weimar Germany tried to keep up with hyperinflation (*) that they became worthless almost overnight.

Even today they're not worth more than a few dollars. As of 01/2010 sammler.com, a major German collectibles site, quotes a 50000 mark bill from 19.11.1922 at €2 (about US$3) in average condition, and about 4 times that in uncirculated condition.

"Taufend"The spelling that appears to be "taufend" is actually "tausend"; the letters "F" and "S" looked very similar in old German printing. Germany was very late in its continuing use of old-style lettering that had been dropped long before in English-speaking countries.

(*) while they were actually making it worse....

What is the value of a Bank of England One Thousand Pound note?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The Bank of England issued £1000 notes between 1725 and 1943, mostly from London although the Hull branch also issued notes in this denomination between 1882-1889. They are the large format (8.25 x 5.25 inch) single-sided white notes.

As with all high value notes, issue was terminated as a result of Operation Bernhard - the Nazi forgery operation during WWII.

They ceased to be legal tender on 16-Apr-1945, with all circulating notes exchanged at banks before that date and destroyed. Because of the relatively high value, there are very few example of these notes available for collectors. In almost any quality they are worth over £40,000 ($65,000).
