What did William say to Kate at the wedding?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

'I, Catherine Elizabeth do take thee, William Arthur Philip Louis, to be my lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward,.........'. Whereupon, she ceased to be 'Kate'. She became Her Royal Highness, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. To continue to call her 'Kate', as is commonly done, is akin to continuing to call the former Princess of Wales 'Lady Di'. That is an illiteracy and lack of understanding that reportedly infuriates the Duchess of Cambridge, just as it infuriated Diana, Princess of Wales.

How many people watched the royal wedding?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Estimates show a global audience of 162 million, approximately 26 million of whom were viewers in the United Kingdom. However, it is believed likely that the real figures could have been considerably higher, since a) it is impossible to know the exact number of viewers grouped round an individual TV set; b) the number who recorded it, either for a third party, or to watch in deferred time; c) the exact number who watched on the internet; d)according to the International Telecommunications Union, figures for Sub-Saharan Africa are often highly unreliable, yet that is where many Commonwealth countries are based. The short answer therefore is that these are at best guesstimates: nobody really knows.

Did Camilla Parker Bowles attend Charles and Diana's wedding?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Doubtful Diana was Prince Charles" first wife. She died in auto accident in l997. Camilla is the current , though they don"t call her this, Crown Princess. When Elizabeth II dies, Camilla will be Queen Consort ( Spouse, wife) this is not the same as a regnant queen. ( reigining, in power). Queen Mary of Ocean liner fame was a Queen Consort, as was Alexandra.
