The Loppy Pop Lupup is the newest breed of dog.

They are very rare. There fur is usually a sparkling gold color with a orange underbelly and face markings. They have tiny horns on the top of there head, result of breeding dogs with hard skulls together. There horns vary from purple to pink. The Loppy Pop Lupup has very short legs, with white long claws and black teeth. Both result from breeding dogs with bad claws and teeth. They have long fur covering up there green eyes, much like bangs. They have a mane in result of there Rodiguion Ridge Back blood. They are a special breed, so keep your eye out for the new Loppy Pop Lupup!

Can puppies from an AKC sire and an ACA dam be registered with AKC?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No the AKC will not recognize the puppies as AKC. Both parents have to be AKC. Ive been breeding and showing in the AKC over 30 years. They will however let you put them under a restrained condition. Best bet is to call the AKC and ask them what they can do. Just a FYI- The ACA (american canine association) does not require DNA testing and inspecting of breeders which is why many puppy mills use this registry so be careful that your ACA dog is in fact Pure Breed with a DNA test.

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, the AKC has seven groups that it sorts breeds into. Generally the breeds are categorized based on what they were originally bred to do.

Sporting -- includes hunting dogs such as the Labrador Retriever or English Setter.

Hound -- includes scenthounds like the Beagle or Bloodhound and also sighthounds such as the Greyhound or Basenji.

Working -- includes dogs bred to do a specific job like the Newfoundland for water rescue or the Siberian Husky for sledding.

Terrier -- includes all terrier breeds such as the Bull Terrier or Irish Terrier.

Toy -- includes companion dogs like the Chihuahua or Pekingese.

Non-Sporting -- sort of the miscellaneous group for dogs that don't fall into the other categories and includes dogs like the Dalmatian and the Bichon Frise.

Herding -- includes all livestock dogs like the Australian Shepherd and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

The American Kennel Club

(or AKC

) is a registry of purebred dog pedigrees in the United States. Beyond maintaining its pedigree registry, this kennel club also promotes events for purebred dogs, including the Westminster Kennel Club

Dog Show, an annual event which predates the official forming of the AKC, and the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. The AKC is not part of the International Canine Organisation, Fédération Cynologique Internationale, as most other countries' kennel clubs are.

NKC English Bulldog you bought from a breeder that reg her bullies with akc nkc Can you reg your bullie with akc?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In order to register a dog with the AKC you must first have papers from the breeder showing the litter was registered with the AKC. The breeder obtains these papers by submitting a report of puppies born of two AKC registered parents. If either parent is not AKC registered, then the puppies cannot be AKC registered in the normal way.

However, any purebred dog of a breed recognized by the AKC can be registered on an indefinite listing privilege if the animal is first spayed or neutered and an application with fees and required photographs is submitted to the AKC. Such animals cannot (obviously) be used for breeding nor shown in conformation, but they can compete in trials like obedience, herding, gun dog, tracking, and agility.

What is the difference between AKC and NKC?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The AKC does NOT register American Bulldogs. The American Bulldog is not a mixed breed and can be registered with both the NKC (national kennel club) and UKC (United Kennel Club).

It is not recognized by the AKC for several reasons including the fact that the breed's original Breed club the ABA (American Bulldog Association) as well as many other AB fanciers are firmly against AKC recognition. Many are afraid that recognition by the American Kennel Club will be detrimental to the breeds working heritage; one look at AKC German Shepherd Dogs will give you the reason behind this fear.

There are two varieties of the American Bulldog: the standard and the bully. The NKC, which is the third oldest All Breed Registry in the United States, recognizes the two standards as two varieties of the same breed. This is similar to the AKC Beagle standard which has two varieties, the 13" and the 15", of the same breed. At NKC sanctioned conformation events the Standard dogs are shown separately from the Bullies until the Best in Show. United Kennel Club only recognizes one variety of the standard which is often referred to as the Hybrid Standard (a blend of the standard and bully).

Why is your dog sitting in a corner facing the wall?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Answer

Dogs can sit and stare at you for many reasons. The obvios one is that they want you attention the difficult part is figuring out why. The dog might just want affection, maybe it needs to go out and use the bathroom, the water bowl might be empty or as my dogs do a few minutes before feeding time. Or the dog is staring at you because he think he is alpha over you...you have to keep looking at them until they stop staring and look away and put their head down.

How many AKC labrador retriever are registered?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I'm not necessarily finding the numbers easily about how many Labrador Retrievers were registered with the American Kennel Club.

The information I can find is:

The Kennel Club of the United Kingdom states that for 2006, there were 45,700 registered Labrador Retrievers. The Cocker Spaniel came in second, with 20,459 registered in 2006.

I also found that

For the 18th consecutive year, the Labrador Retriever is the most popular purebred dog in America, according to 2008 registration statistics released today by the American Kennel Club® (AKC) But, while more than twice as many Labs were registered last year than any other breed making it a likely leader for many years to come... information accessed 24 Oct 2009 "Labrador Retriever Holds Firm in Top Spot on AKC's List of Most Popular Dogs in America;..."
http://www.akc.org/news/index.cfm?article_id=3709

According to a July 2003 article in the AKC Gazette:
Once again the Labrador Retriever has been the most popular breed of dog registered in the United States accounting for 154,616 of the total 958,503 number of dogs registered with The American Kennel Club in 2002.

This is the best I can do at this time.
