There were a number of eras that were between the Tudor era and the Victorian era. The era were in the following order after the Tudor era came Stuart era and then the Georgian era which was followed by the Victorian era.
The Palace of Westminster was built in the Victorian era and the architectural fashion at the time was to build mock Gothic buildings.
Following the victorian era(the late 1800s) was the turn of the century, the Edwardian era. Many people will suggest that fashion did not change remarkably through these two eras; however, I beg to differ. The victorian era proves to be one of the most highly interpreted eras through film and fashion. It seems that people are most fascinated by this era, and therefore, more people obtain a basic understanding of the aesthetics. But what about the Edwardian era? The Edwardian era encompasses the same modest qualities of the victorian era; however, clothing was simplified. Unimaginably large bustles were minimized, hoops became more narrow, shoulders were less exaggerated, the corset was less severe, the hats were slimmer and more simple, the parasol remained, the small handbags remained, shoes showed little sings of change, colours and patterns were similar; however, fabrics simplified. The Edwardian era was one of great innovation pertaining to various aspects of life: cars, science, and psychology. With these changes too came the evolution of fashion.
Yes, The Victorian era was 1837-1901 and the Edwardian era was 1901-1910 Because the Victorian era is named after Queen Victoria, and the Edwardian after her son who came to the throne on her death
