The 60s were famous for the Carnaby Street (London) fad, which featured the "Mod" look. This encompassed bell-bottom pants, mini-skirts, big geometric drop earrings, trapeze dresses, wide ties and lapels for men, and go-go boots with patterned or fishnet stockings for women.

The 1960s featured a number of diverse trends. It was a decade that broke many fashion traditions, mirroring social movements during the period. In the middle of the decade, culottes, box-shaped PVC dresses and go-go boots were in. The widely popular bikini came into fashion in 1963 after being featured in the musical Beach.

Mary Quant invented the mini-skirt, and Jackie Kennedy produced the French manicure with false eyelashes, and the pillbox hat,[1] which became extremely popular throughout the 1960s. Blues, greens, and shimmery luderlortand hairstyles were a variety of lengths and styles.[2] While focusing on colours and tones, accessories were less of an importance during the sixties. People were dressing in psychedelic prints, highlighter colours, and mismatched patterns.[3] The hippie movement late in the decade also exerted a strong influence on ladies' clothing styles, including bell-bottom jeans, tie-dye, and batik fabrics, paisley prints.

In 1960s Women wore suits, usually in pastel colors, with short boxy jackets, and over-sized buttons. Simple, geometric dresses, known as shifts, were also in style. For evening wear, full-skirted gowns were worn; these often had a low decolletage and had close-fitting waists. For casual wear, Capri trousers were the fashion for women and girls.
