Best Answer

Work can be calculated by many different formulas:

if work is unkown:

W= fd

Work = force x distance

if distance is unknown:

d = w / f

if force is unknown:

f = w / d

TAKE NOTE OF THIS:

F= Force

d= distance

W= Work

UNIT:

F= Newton (N)

d= meter (m)

W=F(N) x d(m)

W= Joule (J)

Example

How much work is done on a go-cart if you push it with a force of 50.0 N and move it a distance of 43 m?

50 N • 43 m

2150 Joules

Work = 2150 Joules
