Wife swapping happens all over the world in some form or the other. Its not restricted to a particular geographical region. Its just the fact that in some societies it is considered a taboo so everything gets done in deep secrecy so you don't hear about it often. But on a personal note the term wife swapping is a rather demeaning term as it makes wives sound like objects that can be exchanged. Partner swapping would be a more appropriate term and swinging would best describe the term.
