It's a quote from French poet Charles Pierre Baudelaire.
It has to do with ontological arguments. In Christianity, God is said to be omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing) and omnibenevolent (all good). But how could a being such as this exist if there are disasters and evils in the world? A purely good being that knows all and has the power to stop evil would not allow them. Ergo the devil must exist to explain evil acts. Without the devil, you can't have God.
So by convincing the world that he didn't exist he convinces the world that God doesn't exist.
The Usual Suspects also was in End of days
The Usual Suspects
do you mean who are the actors or why are they called the usual suspects?
Tribute is a song that was written by Tenacious D about the ''greatest song in the world'' that they apparently played when a beast told them he would eat their souls if they didn't. But Tribute is just a tribute to they greatest song in the world because as is mentioned in the song, they can't remember how the song went. The ''greatest song in the world'' though, is related to the song played in the movie in the faceoff against the devil at the end.

No, this quote is often attributed to French poet Charles Baudelaire, not C.S. Lewis. Baudelaire wrote about the concept in his work, "Le Joueur gΓ©nΓ©reux" ("The Generous Gambler"), suggesting that the devil's greatest deception is convincing people he does not exist.
NO! no she really doesnt!
the devil doesnt accept a follower thats gay...
Wicca is supposed to not involve the Devil.
Originally, it was said by French Poet Charles Pierre Baudelaire in a short story in 1864. In modern times, it was said in the movie, The Usual Suspects. Kevin Spacey's character said, ""The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist." He was talking about the elusive Keyser Soze and how no one truly knew who he was.
It doesnt exist so...
Smart. Actually an atheist.
The greatest conflict in Eric Larson's The Devil in the White City is the struggle between good and evil as played out be the character of H.H. Holmes, one of Chicago's earliest serial killers.
While Robert De Niro has frequently played psychopaths and sociopaths on numerous occasions in many film roles, he has never directly played the role of Satan or Lucifer the Devil in a movie. Although he did play a monk in the movie The Mission (1986). However you may want to watch Angel Heart (1987) starring Robert De Niro, Lisa Bonet and Mickey Rourke if you're interested in seeing De Niro give a convincing performance.
It is rare that Beelzebub possesses a person. Typically it is 1 of Satan's minions, another demon. Β I see I see there is another answer that indicates there has never been a person possessed by the devil. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing man he didn't exist. I would warn that man who doesn't believe in the Antichrist to watch his ignorance, for Satan lies possessing ignorant people. And God will not protect those who are ignorant.
