First of all, steer clear of heart covered boxers. They are cute, but who wants underwear as a gift?
Think about what you want for Valentines day, and modify it to fit a man. You might want flowers because they will remind you of him. Maybe a framed picture from his favorite vacation. Your sweet tooth may crave chocolate, but he might prefer another snack. A diamond pendant might emasculate him, but would he like a new watch, set of cuff links or business card holder?
Also, going immaterial is always an option. Plan a date for the two of you, watching his favorite sports team play or learning how to play his favorite sport.
Just try and think about valentines gifts from his point of view.
