Measure speed of light with Microwave oven
Microwaves and light both are electromagnetic waves. We can measure speed of light by measuring speed of microwaves.
Place a marshmallow in microwave oven and heat it until it begins to melt in three or four spots. Measure the average distance between these spots. This is the half wavelength of microwaves. Find the label on the back of the oven to find the frequency of microwaves. Multiply it by wavelength, it is the speed of light.

Effect of solutes on boiling temperature of solvent
Heat up a pure solvent and measure its boiling temperature by thermometer. Now add measured amount of solute to boiling solvent. Measure the temperature again. Repeat the experiment with different amounts of solute. Compare the boiling temperature of pure solvent and boiling temperature of its solution with a solute.
