Clint Brown was never QUALIFIED to be a pastor from the get go.

according to The Bible a pastor must be above reproach in character and the teaching of Gods Word

He must be a MAN of ONE wife

and must not be a lover of money or

defraud others for shameful gain.

Its amazing how his church members would put up with all his compromise and support him and even after a divorce! Wake up people! Sheesh.

Early in 2013 he married a woman named Kendal Shelton who was previously married to a longtime friend Tommy Shelton who died in a boating accident in August of 2012 in Destin, Florida. The two started dating shortly after and have now married. Clint Brown is now the stepfather to Kendal and Tommy's surviving children. - Kendal was married to Tommy Shelton and they were a sweet couple that liked to live the Destin life going to the beach and riding motorcycles. When Tommy died in a boring accident in August of 2012, the community rallied around her with donations and events to help her. My understanding is she was given somewhere between $70k-$100k. It was later found out that she was seeing Clint within weeks of her husband dying. She took all this $ and left town just to be then post pics of her in NYC in December of 2012 with an engagement ring and pics of her flying around the country with designer clothes with Clint. Some in Destin are still nice but most are unhappy with her b/c they feel deceived. A lot of people gave $, many that didn't have a lot to give, and they attended the fundraiser for her (like the one you see on YouTube if you Google Kendal Shelton) and she was dating a rich guy without people's knowledge. She is a pastor now and said in a sermon once that she gave the church $800 and that was all she had at the time but she had tens of thousands from people giving her cash before that. I have no idea when her and Clint started dating specifically but she posted pics of her with an engagement ring in December of 2012, months after her husband Tommy died. She also quickly took down Tommy's Facebook page which made a lot of people upset b/c it had become something for a memorial to him as many Facebook pages do. She also set up another personal Facebook account and basically wiped clean anything about Tommy which was also offensive. It was sad b/c a few days prior to Tommy's death she posted a really sweet message on Facebook, as she always did. It was a very sweet, very romantic message. A month or so later, enter Clint Brown. Sad but it explains why she took down Tommy's page so quickly. Some say that Kendal was actually talking to Clint when Tommy was being buried and she left shortly after the burial to meet him which would make sense based on where she said she was traveling to at the time. Kendal seemed like a really sweet, very lovely person and I am certainly not upset that she moved on but for me and everyone else that donated to her, she is shady. Someone called her out on the money her response was that she didn't ask for it. I guess we were supposed to check her bed to see if she really needed the $. And when the truth about her relationship with Clint came out the things that made people raise a brow all made sense. She was sneaking around with another man and one that was providing for her. I mean, who goes to a fundraiser for themselves when they are dating and traveling with a rich guy? If you have a new man providing a lifestyle, refund everyone on Paypal and say not to the fundraiser. No explanation would be needed and nobody would have the right to say anything b/c it wouldn't involve them at that point. I believe she didn't want to be forthcoming about the relationship but when people saw pics of her in new expensive clothes on Virgin Airlines flying here and there and then in NYC with a diamond ring and new man within a few months, it was out. I wanted to say it was just her being confused but it wasn't until after the fundraiser and after she got all the $ that she started posting pics of her new lifestyle. I was hit or miss on communication with her b/c i was still in shock over this person doing these deceptive things, especially considering that I donated to her, but she was supposedly engaged in December (Christmas Eve is when she told me) and had a wedding the summer roof 2013 but to my understanding is that she actually marred on Valentines day of 2013 and had a little wedding later to make it not look so bad. There you go. I wish her the best but she really should refund everyone's $, even now. Being a pastor, you'd think she'd feel inclined. And maybe not wear cocktail dresses and 6 inch heels as a pastor. She was and is pretty but she wears clothes that are more appropriate for going out for drinks at a fancy restaurant than preaching. I am not at all conservative but I have some respect when I'm at church. But her new husband's church lost their building to foreclosure and he was traveling with her around the country spoiling her so I guess it all makes sense. Clint is probably a nice guy but people donate to the church and expect bills to be paid. Setting up celebrity dinners and taking her to the Grammys and such shouldn't be a priority when the people that don't have your kind of $ are donating and certainly when the church pays your salary and for your luxury home. Just tacky. What happened to her?
