I can't find a record of a National Geographic article on the Columbine shootings. However, the National Geographic Channel series The Final Report did an episode on the Columbine shootings (video on the link below). The format for The Final Report is to ask questions about the incident that's being covered, then answers those questions. Based on my other research on Columbine, they cover the subject in a straightforward manner although without too much depth.
National Geographic has not featured the Columbine incident in its magazine. The magazine typically focuses on topics related to geography, science, nature, history, and culture, rather than current events such as school shootings.
Wikipedia has detailed information on the Columbine shooting including the incident, the aftermath and those responsible for it. The Huffington Post also has detailed accounts of the incident and videos of news bulletins can be seen on YouTube.
The incident at Columbine High School in 1999 sparked intense debate on gun control laws, school safety measures, mental health awareness and treatment, and the influence of media and violent entertainment on youth.
