NBA: Recently, it was learned that Jim Thorpe played pro basketball for a team called "Jim Thorpe and His World-Famous Indians". Although they were not an NBA team, they were professionals.
Thorpe also won Olympic Gold Medals in the Pentathlon and the Decathlon
