Fish and potatoes, both deep fried. Traditionally (in England) served as fast food. Served up wrapped in a twist of paper, and possibly garnished with salt and a few drops of malt vinegar.

cod or haddock

Traditionally, Cod was always used in Fish & Chips. Since fish stocks have been depleted, it is more common now to have Haddock.
