wasn't easy, had to break plastic aroud the brass extention that your knob is screwed into. it then pulled out, still a little hard. Used a srew driver and hammer. actually broke the cartridge.
Water flowing through it makes it very difficult to control.
You can use your muscles to control the flow. Make sure you don't wait to long to go to the bathroom and you will find it is easier to control.

Bolt the heater core into place, with the four retaining bolts. Connect the water supply hoses. You might need to bleed one of the hoses to get the water flowing through the heater core.
See if the valve has integral stops. These will usually be between the cartridge and the inlets of the water. When you have the cartridge out, open each stop slowly to purge any sediment out. This will also tell you if there is water pressure to that point of the faucet. Don't stand directly in front of it and get soaked, I don't want you blaming me! lol
This sounds like a mixer type faucet as it was not stated. However, this is a common problem and it lies in the o rings of the cartridge which have dislodged. Either you need to remove the cartridge and realign the o rings, or replace the o rings or get a plumber to do it for you.
Connect the SCR in series with the armature or field and control the firing angle of the SCR which in turns determine the current flowing to the armature or field.
