we tried using a offset screwdriver to fix it but it won't work it is so hard to get to, we got the grill off but the radiator is in the way, we tried putting a screwdriver up in the hole to pop it it won't budge. help please

take a long thin screwdriver and stick it into the "hole" where the cable goes into the latch. Pry from right to left, this will pop the hood. I just had it happen to my 2000 Dakota.
you can usually open hood latch with a long screwdriver
by going thru front grill, and pushing with end of screwdriver on the latch where the cable attaches. failing that, go to local fire dept....
I assume the handle broke off in the car. You will have to by a new cable/handle assembly ($30.00) so I would: Cut the remaining handle and end off the cable housing so you can get at the inner cable...
