Michael jordan became famous for these reason's:
he was an all round player. He could play guard center and forward. He had many fans because he was not just a great player, He was famous for his Air-time (creating the basketball make Air-Jordan) he had signature slam-dunks he would show of to excitement of the crowd, and picked up 20+ trophy's from the NBA at his time playing. He player for the famous team Chicago Bulls, later retiring for baseball, Then returning for Washington Wizards, then permanently retiring.
Jordan was also a complete player. He could play defense and shoot the lights out. Also, he has a tendency to make people around him better. And he always wants the ball in his hands during crunch time.
