if you answer their survey, you will be asked for personal information that should NEVER be given out to an unknown party, information such as social security numbers. Remember , to receive the laptop, you must answer the survey in its entirety. Unfortunately it is not just one survey, there are hundreds, many are redundant and I suppose if you answered the entire survey to the end, if there is an end, and seems like it lasts forever, they wear you down till you have no more time to answer any more questions and you get out, ergo, no completion, no laptop. However, at this point you have given too much information and they will blow up any phone number you have given with calls from every telemarketer on the planet, so if you give them your cell phone number, you're screwed. In short, at the very least, it's not worth the effort and head ache. Laptops are too cheap these days to use up your minutes trying to get a free laptop.
While there is no such thing as a free lunch, generally speaking, sometimes laptop computers come as free givaways if you sign up for a mid- or long-term mobile phone contract. Then, the laptop isn't free any more (since you entered a binding contract with a substantial monthly fee), but subject to your mobile phone needs, this might be a good way fo getting a low-cost laptop. The only real source for free units that comes to mind is the freecycle network. The web site is called freecycle.net. Freecycle is an email list system, operated by local groups, where people give away things they no longer want or need - for free, and sometimes including laptops or other computer hardware. Many items have no or little resale value once they've been used for a number of years. The idea behind freecycle is to give the thing in question to someone rather than to throw it away, so you might actually get a free laptop there, and help saving the planet.
There is no such thing as a 'free' laptop - unless you win one in a competition ! Businesses offering free laptops usually want you to sign up for expensive and lengthy internet connections.
You might get a laptop for 'free' but you could be paying £40 a month for a 2 year internet contract - which makes the actual price of the laptop £960 ! Considering you can buy a decent laptop for around £350 these days, add to that an internet dongle over 18 months, on a 5GB allowance plan would cost around £17m a month. Giving you a total initial outlay of around £650 !
It is very difficult to obtain a laptop for free from any source. The best way would be to get accepted into a school program that provides a laptop for each student to use. Other than this, checking out local auctions and garage sale will be the best way to get a laptop for cheap.
Have you ever checked out mdg online website where they finaces many differnt things from laptops to desktops to ps3, they have it all and laptops there starting at 49 cents daily and contrat is one year, other then this i would suggest craiglists as second option and have found cheap and great working laptop for cheap price.
