• Ignore the Easy difficulty and go straight to Medium. I know it sounds scary and, yes, you will fail alot of songs but this is the way I learnt to use the Guitar and Controller.
Index Finger: Green
Middle Finger: Red
Ring Finger: Yellow
Little Finger: Blue
• Now that you have mastered the Medium layout, and (I recommend completeing Medium career first) can move your fingers quick enough, it's time to use that Orange fret button. An easy song to practice Hard/ Expert with is Cult Of Personality, a lot of Hammer-On's and Pull-Off's (Refer to in-game training for deep explanations).
Index Finger: Green And Red (Hover finger above Green and slide across for Red)

• Don't do what me and my brother done (Rush straight into Expert, with absolutley no knowledge at all) it will only cause your fingers to ache quicker.
• Try and use moisturising cream on your fingers, yes it will become slippery but it'll also relax your joints.
• Also same as above but pull your fingers, not right out of socket but just enough so that they feel light.
• NEVER!! AND I MEAN, NEVER!!! Play TTFAF (Through The Fire And Flames) on Expert, five times, constantly like I did with the Controller.
