∙ 11y agoIn 1665, Robert Hooke first "saw" cells by looking at a cork using a primitive magnifying glass. Soon after, Janssen produced the first "working" compound microscope and, with Janssen's scope, van Leeuwenhoek actually saw the cell . . .
