∙ 12y agoThe Abolitionistsfrom the 1800's were, People such asHarriet Tubman, She was one of the slaves who escaped to the north and came back down as many as 16 times and would help many slaves escape and come to freedom.
Another slave was Fredrick Douglas . He was Born and enslaved in Maryland , after teaching himself how to read and right.He escaped by him self to Mass. and settled in 1838.
Even though Fredrick Douglas escaped he was still at risk of getting captured and being brought back to the south and resume being a slave .
But Fredrick was never caught and went on to be an abolitionist's and he would make tips to the south and would help slaves escape.
Another abolitionist is (takes place today) Abdel Nasser Ould Ethmane from Mauritania.
