How are Oxygen and ozone different?

Answer:
DIFFERENT:
An oxygen molecule is two atoms of oxygen (O2). Ozone is three atoms of oxygen (O3).
The oxidation potential of ozone (2.07) is much higher than that of oxygen (1.23), so it can drive some oxidation processes much faster than oxygen alone.
Ozone very strongly absorbs UV-B (which protects our DNA), one wavelength of blue, and very strongly in the far infrared.
ALIKE:
The are both made of oxygen atoms, and they both are always oxidizers. They both absorb UV-C and more energetic light.
ozone oxygen - O3
oxygen you breathe - O2
