They weren't. They really, honestly weren't. They were similar in that they were both brilliant and they both were Cabinet members, but that was pretty much it. They were different in every possible way, from their beginnings to their ends.

they were founding fathers. Both were very involved with the government: both secretary's at some point. Jefferson was the Secretary of State and Hamilton was Secretary of the Treasury.
