Galaxies are formed when the gravitational pull comes together pushing stars in. Since black holes were extremely commmon at the birth of the universe, many galaxies own one, such as ours, the Milky Way. Galaxies such as the Sombrero and Andromeda have similar Holes. These holes are supermassive holes, giant gravity balls.
A galaxy is stars, dust and gas that is held together by gravity. For our solar system, we live near the outside of our galaxy, that's why we can see the Milky Way (which is closer to the center of the galaxy, that's why theres more stars). If your interested in astromony or cosmology, pick up a book by Stephen Hawking. I guarantee you'll learn alot.

by the explosion of the universe.
the universe did.
Galaxies are made up of billions to trillions of stars.
Because that is what galaxies are "made" up of.
the universe is made up of galaxies
Yes. Our local group of galaxies is made up of 3 larger galaxies (milky-way, Andromeda and M33) and several smaller or dwarf galaxies.
Chuck norris sneezed
well the universe is endless, but the universe is made up of many galaxies, and galaxies are made of planets and stars and dust etc.
it is mostly made of space
Galaxies are made partly of stars, which produce light. So, in that sense, yes.
stars and planets
Yes its called the Local Cluster or Local Group, we have many minor Globular or Cluster Galaxies orbiting our own.
no specific reason. they formed on their own.
No, the stars actually make the planets.
