How are miosis and mitosis different?

Answer:
MITOSIS is the complicated process of chromosome seperation
MIOSIS is the copying process that creates cells with half the usual number of chromozomes
Mitosis is the process of cell division in somatic cells to make 2 identical diploid cells. ItMeiosis is a process of cell division that creates 4 haploid cells that are not completely identical. Meiosis creates sex cells or gametes.
The question should be rephrased so the spelling is correct. I believe the question should read, what is the difference between MEIosis and Mitosis? I can understand the spelling mistake but in medical language everything is about spelling correctly. The original question is asking "what is the difference between constriction of the pupil of the eye"(which occurs in bright settings, miosis), and "what is cell division that creates 2 identical diploid cells" (for example occurs whenever you produce new skin cells, mitosis). These are not related therefore there should not be a question of what the difference is. I will answer what meiosis is which is related to mitosis.
Meisos is cell division that creates 4 haploid cells that are not identical, two from the father two from the mother. These are sex cells for reproduction. This is due to allowing genetic make up of these cells to be diverse creating a mixture of DNA from both parents. This is also why siblings are not identical unless they are identical twins.
