A solar eclipse is when the moon passes in front of the sun which creates a shadow on the earth. So it would be earth then moon then sun all in a line. A lunar eclipse is when the earth is between the sun and moon blocking most of the light that is reflecting off the moon. Solar eclipses don't happen as often as lunar eclipses.

A solar eclipse is when the moon goes between the Sun and the Earth and blocks the sunrays from the Sun. There will be a point where the moon will nearly block off the sun completely and you will be able to see the Sun's corona. You should not look at this with your bare eyes.

A lunar eclipse is when the Earth is between the Sun and the Moon, and the Earth blocks sunlight from reaching the Moon. The Moon will be blocked out from the Earth's shadow and you will be unable to see it in the night sky. the lunar eclipse is not chocolate it is cheese
