The products of photosynthesis are the reactants of aerobic cellular respiration, and the products of aerobic cellular respiration are the reactants of photosynthesis. In chemical equations the reactants are written on the left side of the arrow and the products are written on the right side of the equation.

Photosynthesis
6CO₂ + 6H₂O → C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂
Carbon dioxide plus water produces glucose plus oxygen.

Aerobic cellular respiration
C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ → 6CO₂ + 6H₂O
Glucose plus oxygen produces carbon dioxide and water.
