How are twins made in the body?

Answer:
Either one fertilised egg splits up very early in the pregnancy (creating an identical twin) or two eggs will be fertilised at the same time, either naturally (when during ovulation two eggs have ripened instead of one) of through fertility treatments (when hormones can stimultae more eggs to ripen) in which case you'll have a non-identical twin.
