.They are cylindrical and are connected to each other.
.It has a Long narrow tube with hollow continuous space called lumen.
.Vessels are dead with no protoplasm or cross walls hence allowing smooth flow of water
.Waxy lignin deposited on walls strengthen walls and prevent collapse of vessels
Yes! It transports water and nutrient's up from its roots. ;)
because it have a baterry
in plants and algae, the cell wall is made of cellulose, a polysaccharide. Because molecules cannot easily diffuse across cellulose cell wall of plants and algae have openings, or channels. water and other molecules small enough to fit through the channels and can freely pass through the cell wallet.
There is a saying that fits your question: "Form follows function". These cells are the way that they are because the shapes fit the way they work. Why are hammers different than screw drivers?
No. Water molecules can fit in between the different components of the cell membrane, such as in between the phosholipid bilayers. The same works for some noncharged molecules. There is no point in using proteins if the molecules are small enough to fit between the cracks in the cell.
A good example of specialized cell shape is the neuron. They must be very long and skinny to allow the nervous system to function. Another example is epithelial cells, including skin cells, which bind tightly to one another to form a continuous sheet
About 35,000 genes per body cell. Note: sex cells differ.

It depends on what body part it is. For example, if it were to be the leg, you could just say it is used for jumping, etc.
Form fits function is the concept that an organism adapts to its environment. For example, an owl can fly silently to avoid being heard or seen. A penguin uses its "wings" to swim due to the large portion of water in their environment. Physical, functional, and performance characteristics or specifications that uniquely identify a component or device and determine its interchangeability in a system.

The form and function are two aspects of design. Say how to design a car? The function is people transport. A tall person will like a big car, like an SUV. A shorter person does not mind driving a Honda fit. So the designer has to make sure the form of the car fits the function -- it has to hold a person comfortably and safely. Say how to design a container (a shampoo bottle, for example)? The function is to hold the fluid (shampoo). But the boss wants the bottle to be held comfortable by a female, so the design has to make sure the bottle is not too big/heavy a cylinder for a female to hold. The boss also wants less shampoo per bottle but not too obvious, so the designer move the bottom one inch up the cylinder to hold less shampoo but may not be noticed. The boss wants hip, so the designer puts Lady Gaga's picture on the label. And so on. The above examples show form to fit function. But sometimes it is function follows form. One example is replacement parts. The replacement has to fit the footprint of the original. The form of the original is paramount. If it does not fit, it cannot serve as a replacement.
The function of tang is to fit in the chuck.

You can fit a function to an EDF and CDF through algebra. There is no generic equation.
