It is said that the US Army are the "defenders of freedom" for us. They do the stuff like put their lives on the line every day and risk it all so we don't have to.
It makes you a better person in the eyes of others. And you as an individual should better when helping others. and one day ( there is an old saying) when you need help, someone will be there for you...
