Monitors (not monitor screens) are lizards that come from the family Varanidae. you can find many different species of monitors from ones that are 10cm long that fit in the palm of your hand to the famous Komodo dragons that grow to lengths of 3m (10 foot). Most monitors are terrestrial, there are monitors that live mangroves to the deserts in Africa. If you are trying to say they are iguanas, monitor lizards ARE NOT IGUANAS (different family of lizard) !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;[

The biggest species the Komodo Dragon and arguably the Crocodile Monitor witch get about 10 feet. But there are other big monitors , like the Black Throat Monitor that gets 7 feet in length. But the Nile is not much smaller than The Komodo Dragon[The Nile is 9 feet]. Also the smallest Monitor is only 18 inches this tiny monitors name is The Tree Monitor.
