I have a Shepherd/Pit mix and she is full grown at 65 lbs. Make sure you use a harness when you walk the dog. They are short and stocky, but are really strong and tend to pull a lot. Hope this helps

harnesses URGE big dogs to pull. so using a harness would be an extremely bad idea unless you want to get jerked around all over the place. i recommend a training collar, like a choke chain, head halter, or a spike.

it seems uncomfortable, but it keeps them from breathing when they pull so they will learn that in order to breathe when they go for a walk then they need to stay calm and walk at your side. i have a Saint Bernard, and a Great Dane. I know how that works. i just got a new shepherd pit mix too so im in the process of training him, and these work great. you can also get nylon training collars as well if you feel the need.
