For the most part it's lowering your carbon footprint. So going green can include turning off your lights when you leave a room, trying to walk/bike/roller blade/bus instead of drive, unplugging anything that isn't in use and tons of other things right?

All these things that are being prevented when you go green are lowering the amount of carbon being emitted into the atmosphere and thus slowing the amount of greenhouse gases.

Many more trees will be planted giving us more oxygen. If lumberjacks cut down every tree we would die of suffocation.
