How can I create an rss feed for a search of all eBay worldwide sites at once through all items including store inventory? In: Online Shopping |
[Edit] |
Ebay offers rss feeds of item searches, but these feeds are limited to local searches of ordinary listings or specific store listings. Feeds for global ebay searches or all stores' inventory searches is not supported by eBay at this time.
Ponyfish is a third party rss service that can created an rss feed from an ebay search page. To use ponyfish to create a global search and a stores' inventory search feed:
1. Perform the eBay search from the "Advanced Search" page. At Locations select "Items available", then "All Countries/Regions" from the drop-down list. At Show Only, select "More buying options", then "All items including Store Inventory Format" from the drop-down list.
2. At ponyfish.com, select "Create a feed now". Copy the web address for the completed search into Step One at ponyfish. It will give a warning that "this page already provides a native feed". Select "continue using Ponyfish".
3. At "Step Two Click on at least two links..." scroll through the ponyfish frame of the ebay search and click on as many of the desired search results as possible, then Continue.
4. Complete the ponyfish process and select the rss icon to add the feed to your rss reader.
