How can I stop a loud transient moaning noise from the water pipe?

Answer:
It sounds as if you have some very long "runs" of pipe, You can install a device that stops and traps the sounds when it is caused by air, the device is cheap and can be installed relatively easily. This will prevent "a hammering" sound. Good Luck.

A "Globe" valve is ideal for throttling and thus it can be utilized to control the volume and velocity that causes excessive noise
