Make sure he is on a high quality food. One with no byproducts or corn products or dyes. If that doesn't solve it in about 6 months you might try switching to a RAW or BARF diet.
Good diet as the previous said but bull terriers naturally shed a lot of hair for a short haird dog ( a lot more than you would think)
Most dogs do shed, some more than others. If your dog sheds in excess, they do sell vitamin and supplements that will help, along with daily or at least more frequent brushing. Some dog foods are lacking in key nutrients needed to maintain health, and skin and hair are part of their health. You should talk to your vet, tell him what you are feeding, and ask if he reccomends a different brand or supplement. Omega 3 and 6 help a lot with a healthier skin and coat system. Also try a special brush to remove undercoat hair as well.
You can't. Shedding is a natural part of being a dog (most breeds anyway), you can not stop it anymore than you can stop your own hair from growing. You can brush it regularly to try and keep it's shedding controlled but you can't stop it
The amount a dog sheds is correlated to the length of its hair and the temperature ranges for the environment it lives in. These two variables are outside the control of man. You can help reduce the amount of hair that is left on furniture by regularly brushing the dog.
There are foods and supplements to help with shedding problems, check your local pet store or Vet clinic
There are different types of food that will help control shedding or some supplements you can put on the food. Check with your local pet store or vet clinic
The problem is no matter what you do, your dog is going to end up shedding the same amount of hair. The only thing you can change is where the shed fur will end up; all over your house or in a brush. When your dog is shedding a lot it is important to brush him everyday (preferably outside), or as much as you can when shedding- this will greatly reduce the amount of fur hanging out around your home.
It is practically impossible to keep a long haired dog from shedding (I don't know if they have something you can give them for it), but there is a way to reduce the shedding. Brush your dog daily, but backwards, stroking toward the neck, not the tail. Neutro-Max dog food sold at Big R stores dramatically reduced the amount that our dog sheds. it takes about a month to start working, but after that, the amount of loose hair I had to clean up was much less.
dogs don't shed because of foods. They shed because they have hair that grows until it falls off and hair doesn't form by foods. The only way to stop the shedding is to brush it's coat, depending on the dog on how much to brush.
All non-shedding dogs are great and cute! One of my all-time favorite non-shedding dog is a poodle. My family is hypoallergenic so we got a poodle, it is smart, well behaved and too cute!
All dogs shed, it's a dog thing. But if the shedding is extreme it may be a dietary problem. Check with a vet.
washing the dog can get away shedding hair and dirt from the second layer of fur and top layer of skin. a dog mostly cleans the top layer of fur so stuff under that can irritate them such as fleas, dirt, and shedding fur.
I have found that high end chenille doesn't shed. I got a chenille blanket from Linens N Things a few years ago and I threw it away b/c it shed so much. ----I also bought a throw from Bed Bath and Beyond and washed it to get the smell of my dog out of it and it shed so much I had to throw it away.
Poodles and Puggles are low shedding dogs so that might be your match!
to make you dog stop barking at cars you should hit them .if you love your dog so much and you cant hit him you should get a shock thing.
Some breeds of dogs are heavier shedders than others. If you have cold winters and your dog is inside most of the time then they will shed more and their skin can become dryer (use an Oatmeal Shampoo when you bath them.) Going into spring months your dog is losing it's winter coat. Put out the money and buy some good dog grooming tools (it pays for itself in the end.) It is also OK to have your dog groomed by a professional with shorter hair that is more manageable for you, but not too short. I brush my dogs every single day, but they are non shedders (Bishon Frese X and Cockapoo X) and of course the poodle in them in non-shedding. However, my brother has a German Shepherd X and a Newfoundland X and they are very hairy. They get the groomer to cut down a lot of the fur and some water dog breeds have a 'down' (soft fluffy fur) close to the skin and it can be difficult to keep that thinned out, but there is a grooming tool you can buy for this. Every day grooming (you can do it and watch TV too so it's not too much of a chore) will eventually stop your dog from shedding a great deal, but won't stop shedding completely. Just like humans, dogs can lose their hair too.
You should pick up the other dog poo so the other dog can stop eating it
Your dog passed away yesterday so it is natural that you can't stop crying. You miss him so much and you might wonder how do you forget about it. Time is a great healer and that is what you need to allow yourself. Go through the grieving process. You won't forget your dog but over time it will get easier.
