1) Double check your outward appearance. I hate to say it but it's true - we judge people on what we see. (Be honest - you do too). I'm not talking about looking like a beefcake hunk. Just make sure that you are clean and presentable each time you leave the house.
2) Do something that interests you and that you're good at. Nothing attracts more than seeing someone doing something successfully. If there are girls also involved in that activity, it will be a natural way to hook-up with someone who already has a good opinion of you.
3) Don't try for the date - just try for the conversation. Keep it light at first. Let her learn about your good qualities without having her think that you are trying to "get" something. Enjoy her company the same way you would enjoy a guy's company. (Ask her advice or opinion about something.)
4) Be cool, but be you. There is a whiff of desperation that everyone can sense when someone wants a girlfriend or boyfriend. Just enjoy hanging out with people, get to know them as friends first. With time casually ask if she'd like to do something together (be specific - "I'm thinking of seeing that movie this Friday. Want to come with?") Don't care if the answer is no.
Find nice girls in his LEAGUE! Yes, there are leagues. Just look at couples when you go to the mall or something. Some dont make sense but most do. It MAY help you find the kind of person you need to look for. Hope I helped a little!!
