Yes, a molecule can be nonpolar when it contains polar covalent bonds, because think about it. if the molecule is linear in structure, and it has two equally polar bonds on either side, then the polarity will essentially cancel out, and it will become nonpolar.

CO2 (O=C=O) is non polar with two opposite, linear bonded oxygen atoms and the centralised carbon.

If they have a 180 degree bond angle with the polarities running in opposite direction the overall molecule will not have a dipole. Counteracting equal 'poles' nihilate.

The geometry of the molecule can cause the polarity of each bond to be cancelled out and the whole molecule becomes nonpolar. EX: Carbon dioxide, each oxygen is pulling the electrons toward the ends of the molecule with carbon 'trapped' in the middle. Oxygen has a higher electronegativity than carbon and is pulling the electrons so that each bond is polar. But, since both oxygen have equal electronegativity, they are pulling with the same force and the overall effect is the molecule is nonpolar.
