It depends what's happening and where you are. Remember, this is you. You have to be strong. This is not a time to be shy:

If you are in a public place, like in a crowded bus or train and someone (a man or a woman) is starting to touch you:

* Say loudly and firmly, "Take your hand away." * If he doesn't stop immediately, then shout, "Stop touching me!" and make sure other people can hear you. * Move away if you can. Keep talking, "That man is touching me." Get support from other people around who will probably help you. Ring the police. If you are in the street and someone tries to get you into a car:

* Move fast away from the car, sideways, or to the back. If you go ahead, the car can follow you. Shout, scream, kick, scratch, leave your bag there and run.

If you are in a private place, like your home, and someone is starting to touch you:

* Do the same as above. Say loudly and firmly, "Take your hand away." If there is someone else in the house, then make a noise, or call out, or get away if you can. * If there is nobody to help, you have to be very strong now. Tell him again, loudly and angrily, "Take your hand away!" * If you can't get away and he doesn't stop, then say, "I'll tell my mom" or "I'll tell my dad" or your big brother, or someone that the person might be afraid of. You might have to say, "I'll tell my teacher." or "I'll tell the police." You could say, "I'll tell everybody!" * If you are raped or molested, remember, it was not your fault.
