How can astrology be useful to you?In: Astrology |
Answer
Astrological interpretations are based on a persons horoscope or birth chart. As no two people have the same fingerprints, a horoscope can also be considered as such a print of our life, and no two people can have the same horoscope. Understanding your horoscope can give you valuable insights into yourself. In the same manner, you can understand other people better by knowing their personality and their being. This can help you immensely in your relationships.
Astrology is based on the belief that all events in anyones life come about by prior stipulation. The shadows of these events are cast much before their actual arrival in our lives. This is ascertained by the planetary positions at the time of a persons birth, which give us indications about life events well in advance of their occurrence. Thus by having knowledge about astrology, you can predict these events and forewarn yourself about their arrival.
Based on the above premise, astrology has endless applications, and can be useful to just about everybody on this earth. Astrology can be a guiding force and can help you in your job, to find a life partner, to know about your health, and can even be used for financial predictions. Astrology can tell you about your children, about your married life, your love life, and even to make better career choices.
Astrology can warn you in advance about any pitfalls that may come your way, and guide you during times when you feel like nothing in your life is going well. Many astrologers even give you remedial measures and actions, by which you can mitigate your sufferings and ill events of life, through intentional actions and performing certain procedures as told by the astrologers.
From ancient times to the modern day, one has come across many stories and tales by people who have been helped tremendously in life by astrology.

Please note that the next answer was written with disregard to most aspects considered factual in Astrology. It has been conservatively put, straw manning the concept of Astrology into 'fortune telling'. While this aspect does remain highly disputed amongst many including myself - I will remind readers that predicting futures is not the reason for the survival of this ancient method.
I would advise people unacquainted with the idea of a birth chart, to try and get a reading, and judge for yourself. Bare in mind that the current population is approximately 6,622,242,825 - so naturally you are going to share aspects with people, but no one chart is the same.
In this day and age, people value individuality which I think can attribute to the skepticism thrown at Astrology - but how different are we really? Consider: of the number provided earlier, how many of those 6.5 billion people have you met...the average is 12000 in a good long lifespan, of those 10000 odd, you may only truly get to know around 200 if you're lucky. I hope this gives you some perspective, you don't have to march in step and talk in unison to share personality traits.
One can only theorize as to how exactly planets affect us - and this I think is the most logical one: The Moon exerts a gravitational force toward fluid - as we see with the tides. This could be said for the other planets, although it is not noticed.
So it boils down to this: if the fluids used to form you from start to finish are effected by planetary pulls and pushes - why is it so hard to believe that information can be gathered from them? The Egyptians built things we cannot achieve today, and we are still none the wiser as to how they did it - but it's there none the less.
If Astrology had not been exploited in magazines, perceived as evil by Christianity and been made to look like a product by Astrologers who want money out of it - this whole concept would grow in acceptance much more smoothly than it is at present.
How can it be useful to you? That's your choice, but I'm here to tell you that it's there, and not a five millennium long joke.
Answer
Astrology is about as useful as tits on a bull, ie: not at all. You have in your head one of the most powerful of all of evolutions creations - your brain. Use it to figure out who you are and where you want to go in life. Anyone that tells you they can predict what will happen to you in this life is a fraudster. The future has'nt happened yet, only you can control your own destiny.
Answer
NONE! IT IS NOT USEFUL AT ALL!
