As the world population increases and more and more countries become industrialized and the people in those places becoming more modern, wanting what the other modern societies have, the crush of environmental damage will only increase. We need to use allof the three Rs, (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and add a fourth and fifth, Reinvent how we do things and Revise how much we want. Using just the Rs that don't inconvenience us will do little to stem the tide of damage to the environment!
