How can the Nikon Coolpix 3200 camera be fixed when it will only display system error?

One suggestion: Have you tried removing the batteries for a minute or two and putting them back in? Sometimes turning off and on will not clear a problem. If you remove the batteries altogether, it may. But if you replace them too fast , the circuits don't get erased.
The same applies to many AC powered appliances (VCRs, DVDs, cable boxes and etc). Unplugging them from the wall will clear up things that the on/off switch does not.
Not trying to talk down here. I just don't know what has been tried. That would be the first step. Otherwise, the troubleshooting section of the operators manual should say what can cause a system error. That might lead you to try something else.
