How can this happen We dug a pond and now have thousands of small minnows in it that we didn't put there. We have had more rain this 6 month period than we have had in 4 years so...?

Answer

Wading birds eat a fish laden with eggs. They fly to the next pond and when they crap in the water they release some viable eggs.
Now you have fish! Works with frogs, too.

Hope this helps!
