Try putting a dab of super glue on another tooth pick that you have broken the end off of and let it adhere to the end of the stuck one, then pull them both out. do not use too much or the lock will be glued as well so just enough to dampen the end.

another way is to use a metal pick to work them out.

remember there is a little flapper on the lock that keeps water out and you will need to hold that open while you work on it.
