Because you are very lucky! All women are different. Some dilate to higher numbers and 100% effaced and don't feel a thing. Just luck of the draw. It doesn't mean anything is wrong or that the labor will be better or worse in later stages. It just means that you are having a very easy labor up to now.
i had 5 kids and my labour all were diffnert.u can be in labour and not fell much pain at all. i know women had only bad pain for three hours then baby was born.
alot of it depends of if this is your first of multiple pregnancy. has the baby dropped down in the birth canal or not. the baby could not be head first and could be laying sideways. there are too many unknowns here to answer correctly.
This is normal! However, once you become 7 cm dilated is time to get to the hospital. Even if your water breaks you don't have to go to the hospital until your contractions are 5-7 minutes apart.
I take Prozac for the last month and when I started feeling the drug about a week ago my pupils are very dilated after I take it.
Should be right after, since normally water breaks after you feeling contractions in minutes apart as sign of early labor phase
there is not really anyway to tell i was 100% effaced and 2 cm dilated for like 2 weeks... then funally she came a day before her due date but for 3 weeks my ob was saying she thought i was gonna be early lol so its just a waiting game now an for me it felt like forever but he or she will come soon anough good luck congrats,,, cortney
a woman is given an anesthetic (to deaden feeling during the procedure), her cervix (the structure at the bottom of the uterus) is dilated and the contents of the uterus is gently suctioned out.
What you are experiencing is called Braxton-Hicks contractions. It is perfectly normal. It is the body's way of "practicing" for the real thing. As long as there is no constant pressure on the floor of the pelvis or discharge of blood or liquid, the mild contractions you are feeling is not a threat. Your baby will be born when he or she is ready. The B-H contractions do not mean labor will begin any sooner than is proper.
You can try nipple stimulation and raspberry leaf tea, but don't worry it will happen eventually. If he is at -2 he is not sitting directly on your cervix but is farther up in your uterus. The bowlegged feeling is normal at the end of a pregnancy from the dilation of your cervix and the stretching of the ligaments, so don't worry he's not really right between your legs!
Chest flutters are also know as PVCs or Premature Ventricular Contractions. The can be caused from anxiety, fatigue, too much exercise.
I'm 39 weeks prego with my third child and I'm feeling the same way! But i think it is all up to the doc. My doc won;t induce until my cervix is effaced. I've been havng regular contractions for 6 days and my cervix still hasn't started to efface and he still wont induce.....So I guess just talk to your doc.
According to my midwife today, yes it is. I'm 14 weeks and have been feeling BH for a few days now. This is my second child.
Braxton Hicks contractions can occur far before labor actually begins, though sometimes they might occur shortly before a woman goes into labor. The first "true" labor sensations can be anything from crampiness to "full blown" contractions to losing one's mucous plug to having bloody show to experiencing loose stool or to feeling one's water break.
Someone should take a pregnancy test when they feel they have symptoms of being pregnant. That is such as having food cravings, gaining weight, feeling contractions, etc.
