The blades are easily enough cleaned with a damp rag and a vaccum cleaner without even removing them. The glass, however, is much more delicate. I'd suggest some vinegar and water and take the glass down to soak in it for a while. After that, take them out, wipe them down, and rinse them off before re-attaching to the fan. Should be good as new-looking.
